The Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) concept guides the chemical industry's journey toward innovation and sustainability, as emphasized by recent European initiatives, such as the Chemicals Sustainability Strategy (CSS), the Horizon Europe programme, and upcoming EU partnerships on innovative materials. The symposium will showcase experiences and learnings on the development of advanced materials following the Safe and Sustainable by Design approach, based on ongoing results of five large EU projects (SbD4Nano, ASINA, SABYDOMA, SABYNA, REPOXYBLE). Case studies will discuss processes and products in the chemical, plastics, cosmetics, aerospace and automotive sectors. The symposium is open to both risk managers and innovators working for research organizations, businesses, institutions, and other groups interested in the sustainability and safety of nano-related products. *ASINA (862444 ), SABYDOMA (GA 862296), SABYNA (GA 862419), SBD4Nano (GA 862195) and Repoxyble (GA 101091891) have received funding from the European Union’s Horizon research and innovation programme
