The symposium on Smart and Sustainable Materials for Circular and Augmented Industrial Products and Processes aims to promote a deeper understanding of the potential of smart and sustainable materials in driving sustainable innovation in the industrial sector. The symposium will cover a range of topics that are critical for achieving a circular economy and accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable industrial sector, from sustainable materials and circular economy principles to innovative industrial processes and policy and regulation. In particular, the symposium will cover the latest developments in sustainable materials such as eco-friendly composites, biomaterials, bioplastics and so on. Participants will discuss innovative technologies that can support the development and production of smart and sustainable materials, such as 3D printing, advanced manufacturing, and nanotechnology. This symposium is connected to the Extended Partnership “Made in Italy Circolare e Sostenibile” (MICS), one of the projects concerning the PNRR Mission 4 “Education and Research”.
