Figures and Facts 2022

NUMERI 2022

The 2022 edition of our Conference has been structured to host  1 opening session, 1 round table, 2 scientific plenary sessions, 6 parallel lecture sessions, 61 technical thematic symposia, 8 scientific multi-sessions workshops, 3 special events, 2 guest events, 4 joint events, 3 schools, 1 training course organized in collaboration with Ordine degli Ingegneri della Provincia di Roma. The conference has hosted the award ceremony of the NEST prize for young researchers, and 108 posters have been illustrated in two dedicated sessions.

NanoInnovation 2022 can acknowledge 1.781 registered participants, 887 of which present at the conference site and the remainders remotely connected. The total attendance at the different sessions and activities during the five days of conference including opening plenary sessions, schools, thematic symposia and guest or joint events, has been of more than 3.800 presences.

The conference symposia have been proposed and organized by 20 co-organizers, whose contribution is warmly acknowledged. They fully understood and interpreted at the best the bottom-up principle, which is traditionally the structuring method of our event.

We are particularly indebted with all the colleagues participating in the event, starting from more than 530 speakers and chairs who greatly managed the dense programme of NanoInnovation and who, in attendance and remotely, shared with us their knowledge and expertise, filling of interesting contents the conference,

We warmly thank the 17 exhibitors, the 7 supporters and the 14 institutional and scientific patronages, whose contribution helped in keeping NanoInnovation an open event with free access for all people interested in nano-bio-technologies and the other key enabling technologies.

Our deepest appreciation to Sapienza University of Rome for the kind hospitality, support and contribution. We are particularly grateful to the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering (ICI) for allowing the access to the Renaissance Cloister and to the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences for Engineering (SBAI) for the support during the preparation of NanoInnovation 2022.

We also thank the Agency for the Promotion of European Research (APRE) for organizing in attendance the networking event.

The organizers are really proud of the achieved figures, which confirm that, despite the very unusual social situation affected by the combined effects of pandemic and war, the technical-scientific community belonging to nanotechnology is actively working to realize and exploit new research activities, applications and innovations and is still strictly connected and that the modern communication tools can help to support the scientific discussion.
